Incarcerated for more than forty-three years and columnist for Unconditional Freedom’s monthly newsletter for the past six months, Don was given an execution date of February 23, 2023.

On January 25th, Don wrote the following to staff at Unconditional Freedom:

Hi, it was a real pleasure being able to write for you. I love you gave me the chance for my words to reach out and touch others. This has been a joy and a blessing.

It appears that this life story that I’ve been playing out very well soon may come to an end. Governor Ron DeSantis has signed my death warrant, and I’m scheduled to say farewell to this sweet, gorgeous planet on Feb 23rd.

Here is the Truth. They may take my body but they can’t touch me. Why? Because I was never born so I can never die. When we realize this. That we are and always will be eternal. This means we are timeless, having a time bound appearance. The real you, the real me all I can say is Wow! Nothing or no one can stop this from being so. I know this not only in my bones. I know it deep in my heart.

Here is something else I know. I’ve given my life completely to Spirit, or as I like to call her Shakti, the very primal force that creates the smallest spectrum within an atom and also organizes the Cosmic dance. I often tell her, “I’m Yours! Let me serve You. Until I take my last breath, I serve you gladly, willingly and with joy.” What I know is nothing, and I mean nothing, could touch this body without it first being sanctioned by Shakti. Man thinks he’s in control but all it takes is one little thought in a person’s brain and their attention gets directed somewhere else or they forget about what they are focused on. Most of our lives are that of sleepwalking. All that nonsense we say about having free will is only half true. We have to first free our will, otherwise we are just unconsciously sleepwalking thinking we are in control. Anyway, if the Lady of all ladies hadn’t agreed for this to happen, it could not happen. I am her servant and if I am needed elsewhere, that’s where I shall be.

I have often told people it’s about realizing we are exactly where we are supposed to be at, or exactly where we belong. It’s always right place, right time! If I am supposed to be somewhere else then nothing, not even me, will stop me from being there. So it just sounds like I am needed elsewhere and since I serve I say, “Yes, my Love, I am here, use me how you will.” This is Free Will.
