Our programs address the critical areas of food and nutrition, the interior life of its residents, and the wellbeing of its corrections officers, in order that the system as a whole is elevated to an environment of inquiry, contemplation and sustainable change towards contribution. Read more.
We deliver love, dignity and recognition through food, serving those in need, from people living without homes to Prison residents and more. Our farm-to-table meals, created with hand-picked produce from our organic farms with menus designed by world-class chefs, are made with a care and love that nourishes all hungers from the physical hunger for food to the emotional hunger for connection to the spiritual hunger for meaning. Read more.
The Earth Program grounds our outreach projects of Love to Table and the Unconditional Freedom project, providing both the food and the education to teach others how to grow. We operate two wholly owned farms as laboratories for permaculture practices and partner with shelters and prisons in developing their own farms and training their residents in growing and harvesting their own food. BlackBox is a cultural creative studio dedicated to bringing vision and word to the unspoken in our culture. We facilitate conversations and experiences and produce short and long-form media that engages with such topics as the taboos of race, spirituality and religion, of sex, of beauty, of power, of the dark parts of being human, being black and living in and shaping the American culture. If you have found your way here, it is because you are open to the idea that addiction is a spiritual path. There are programs of recovery; this is a program of discovery. It is 180-degrees different from the traditional addiction recovery models. This program is a journey through the 12 alchemy steps and is meant to be completed with a guide or sponsor. Social justice brought us to our current state of affairs but it will not take us the rest of the way to a just, healthy culture. A new tradition based on love is needed to deliver on the promises of social justice. Love Justice looks at the hidden true causes of society’s ills and proposes a paradigm shift towards love and unity. The principles of Love Justice include elevating ourselves by elevating others, taking inventory and making reparations for society’s past harms and using it as fuel for evolving society towards greater consciousness.
